    Hi Gerard! Kamusta ka na?

Nand2 kami ni mama sa KL, Malaysia. Kahapon lang kami dumating ng 2AM. Mga 2 weeks vacation namin d2. Ipapasyal daw kami ni Ate Liezl(my cousin) sa Singapore by 16-18.

Cge, take care!!! God bless you!!!

    Betchay :)

    Hi Gerard!

Thank you in advance for accepting my email and for allowing me to send you further information about mobile forensics. Mobile Forensics and this device are used by government agencies and many other local yet smaller law enforcement agencies to crack down on crime and terrorists in forensic investigations.

The story isn’t necessarily about the product (Cellebrite’s Universal Forensic Extraction Device, aka UFED) it is about the technology ( the ability to retrieve data criminals think they have deleted). The story is about the ability of the FBI, CIA, DHS and Special Forces to get inside the criminal’s inner circle and clamp down on terrorist activities. www.cellebrite.com

Functioning without a cell phone in this day and age is unheard of. Everyone believes they delete call logs, text messages and images, but in reality, they lurk inside the device. Deleted data is key to learning about terrorist activity. Although having access to a criminal’s mobile device is imperative, once that happens, the doors open wide to further intelligence.

Adi Ofrat, CEO of Cellebrite, an expert on mobile forensics, has inside information regarding Federal Agencies and their use of mobile forensics in the fight against terrorism. I can easily schedule for you an interview with him. I can also provide you with a law enforcement contact in Utah who uses the product.

Call me anytime, 858-946-0246. This is a fascinating subject, one I believe your readers would appreciate.

    Sincerely,

    Jen

    News Release

    Cellebrite Officially Launches UFED:
    Universal Forensic Extraction Device

An essential tool for Homeland Security and criminal investigations

Franklin Lakes, NJ – October 2008 – After ten months of successful use by more than 1000 law enforcement and homeland security organizations worldwide, Cellebrite USA Corp., the industry leader in mobile phone content transfer and backup solutions, proudly announces the official launch of their Universal Forensic Extraction Device. The UFED is the ultimate portable, stand-alone solution for the extraction of critical data such as phonebook, pictures, videos, text messages, call logs, ESN and IMEI information from more than 1500 models of handsets sold worldwide.

The use of new technologies for extracting critical data from mobile devices is a valuable tool in criminal investigations. Cellebrite’s UFED is a must-have tool for investigators, government and law enforcement agencies working in the field or forensics lab.

”In a world of growing local and national security concerns, equipping our agents with the very best technology to battle terrorism and criminal activity is mission critical,” says Adi Ofrat, CEO of Cellebrite USA Corp. “Cellebrite is proud to offer its most powerful device ever to aid law enforcement and intelligence agencies by leveraging our superior position and relationships in the wireless space.”

The UFED system supports 95 percent of all cellular phones in the market today, including Smartphones and PDA devices (Palm OS, Microsoft, Blackberry and Symbian). UFED is compatible with all wireless service providers in the United States and supports all known device interfaces including serial, USB, Bluetooth, and infrared. Cellebrite has established long-term working relationships with most major carriers worldwide, ensuring that future devices are supported, even prior to them being offered to the public.
Field extraction of data insures that phones are examined before any information is lost, destroyed or erased. Using a computer is not required for field use as the UFED can easily store hundreds of phonebook and content items onto a removable SD card or USB flash drive; it can then be brought to the forensic lab for review and verification. Included with the UFED system is a Report Manager software application that can save, print, search, and analyze complete records of all supported content types of cellular phone data.
The Cellebrite UFED System is extremely user friendly with a simple and intuitive user interface. Field tested and proven for more than seven years, the UFED user interface allows the highest rate of successful extractions in the industry. Data is extracted in a strictly ‘read only’ process, without modifying the source device. The extracted data is verified using industry standard MD5 hash algorithm to insure data integrity for the courtroom. The Cellebrite UFED system supports the Unicode industry standard, supporting foreign alphabet systems for data extracted from the handset, supporting European, Asian and Middle-Eastern languages.
