The opening ceremony last Friday at Beijing Olympic was performed by over 20,000 performers which showcase to the world 5,000 years of Chinese history.

One of the highlight of the opening ceremony was the singing of “Ode to the Motherland” by this a 9 year old little girl in red dress and pig-tails, Lin Miaoke.  The truth behind the voice was another girl name, Yang Peiyi, whose voice was used for the song.

What are the possible reason for Chinese Government to take such action?

According to A British ex-pat Chris Smith, who has been living in Beijing for nine years, explained to a reporter: “It’s because China is obsessed with promoting a certain look, girls should be more Western-looking with high cheekbones. They don’t like rounded faces. Olympic officials also chose only tall, slim, attractive women of a certain look to hand out medals.”

I was quite inactive in my blogging life for quite sometimes and I was overshadowed by turns of event in my life.  I could say that it is related to what you called Life’s Trials.
